For 23 years prior to moving to Spain, I worked in the UK Health and Social Care sector. In the early years my role was hands on and in latter years - management. Now I´m dedicated to the profession by way of specialist writing, training and management consultancy. I have always loved to help people.

In May this year, following a pretty serious riding accident, I found myself needing to be cared for – and that was a brand new experience for me.

‘Ginare Consulting’ apply charges per hour / per half- day / per full-day OR per project.

ON / OFF SITE WORK

For ´on site´ work (work undertaken at your premises) we can offer rates per hour / half day or full day.

If we undertake work ´off site´ (remotely from our premises) then we will charge at pro rata the full-day rate (hourly rates available upon request) but please note that time spent on telephone conversations for development work will be included in the chargeable rates. All hours are documented and can be spread across several days. EG: Work undertaken for 5 days at 2 hours per day will equal a full day.

On and off site charges are better applied to:

• Measurable projects such as on-site manual handling training or system assessments
• or simple off-site requests for brochure development

PROJECT WORK

‘Project work’ has a fixed cost and is based on the probability of a project taking a particular number of hours. Advantages of project based costs are that they are controlled and organisations can work to a fixed budget without concerns that a project will not be completed due to lack of funding. If a project is quoted at a fixed cost - it will have been estimated as taking a certain number of hours of a consultant’s time, but the advantage being that if it takes longer there will be no additional cost to you.

‘Ginare Consulting’ prides itself on a fair charging policy and value for money service delivery. It is therefore important that we assess accurately the level of charges to our clients. Any consultant undertaking ‘project work’ has a duty to assist Ginare in ensuring the accuracy of our charging and that our policy remains fair. Therefore – all our consultants complete time sheets for all hours of consulting work dedicated to a project thus enabling us to continually evaluate our pricing policy for accuracy and fairness.

Project rates are better applied for:

• Areas where communication with authorities such as CSCI are required as the length of a telephone conversation cannot be pre-determined
• When there is likely to be significant amounts of report writing
• When an argument needs to be developed such as with responses to poor quality ratings
• Policy and procedure development
